Maastricht Marketing Day 2016 November 8th, 2016
For the second time the Maastricht Marketing Day was organized by SCOPE|3MA. This year’s event took place on September 28th 2016. After many late-night meetings over Pizza and skype calls during the summer the hard work finally paid off. With extraordinary recruiters from Reckitt Benckiser, Henkel, Procter & Gamble and the Marriott International aboard and many interested students eager to participate in activities, the stakes were high.
The day started of with personal interviews, followed by a lunch including the interviewees, recruiters and actives from SCOPE I 3MA. The event then officially kick-started with all participants with the opening speech held by the MMD committee’s president, Astrid Klein. Afterwards, our guest speaker, Friedrich W. Gause, from BGM Associates, touched upon the slogan of this year’s Marketing Day: “Target or be the Target – You call the shots!”
The opening ceremony ended with a few words from Matthias Glaser on behalf of Reckitt Benckiser, the main sponsor of the day, who reminded students of targeting the right company, with a mentality and atmosphere that suits one’s own expectations.
Afterwards everyone hurried over to the workshop rooms, where the actual learning took place in various settings dependent on the company chosen. Lastly everyone was able to get together once more and talk personally over network drinks and snacks.
For few students the day ended with the unique chance to have dinner with recruiters from Marriott International. Together with the board of SCOPE I 3MA, the MMD committee celebrated the successful day with a final dinner once more.
On behalf of the MMD committee, we would like to sincerely thank all the actives behind the scenes for their tremendous work and the Tapijn Brasserie crew for providing us with this extraordinary location whilst continuously ensuring a cozy atmosphere.
Furthermore, our gratitude belongs the University and especially all the people responsible for the Tapijn Learning Spaces.
We would also like to thank the board of SCOPE I 3MA for always helping out and giving advice, when things wouldn’t quite work out as planned, but most of all, we would like to thank all the participants for making this day so successful and memorable.
